Prepared a feasibility study for a limestone quarry and four clay quarries, for a major cement works in the Dominican Republic. Working with Ernst & Young, produced a document detailing all mining activities in Trinidad. Technical audit on a coal preparation plant at Karmozd Iran with improvements to the plant and changes in its operation. Provided technical assistance to a difficult underground coal mining operation at Kiasar Iran. 1994 until 1997 www.morganworldwide.com As part of the privatisation process leading to an IPO for PT Bukit Asam, Indonesia, a major group of surface coal mines in Indonesia assisted with an Environmental Review. Managed the development and implementation of the Environmental Action Plan to upgrade the environmental compliance of the company. This Plan included detailed hydrologic designs, upgraded mine planning, re-vegetation procedures hazardous material handling and waste disposal plus training of operating personnel. Assisted in a restructuring analysis of the quarrying and aggregate industry in Trinidad and Tobago including a detailed technical audit of National Quarries plus an Environmental Assessment of the industry. The study included a determination of current and future markets, determination of the economic reserves plus an analysis of import/export potential. Recommendations included a privatisation strategy, regulatory framework and technical improvements.

The report concentrated on the future development of the island and its environmental impact. Assisting in the preparation of tender documents for a major World Bank project in support of a significant investment in Coal India.

1984 to 1985 www.falklands.info Was a senior quarries manager on a £190 million contract to set up and manage a major material processing site that produced the following; 1,500,000 tonnes crushed tillite – 1,200,000 tonnes, crushed quartzite – 500,000 tonnes concrete - 197,000 cubic metres, Pre-cast concrete kerb – 100,000 tonnes, dry lean concrete, asphalt etc. Managed a materials laboratory, developed three hard rock quarries. Supervised the trench and clearance blasting and construction of fifteen kilometres of road. Provided expertise in use of explosives.

Managed the maintenance of a seagoing fleet of tugs and barges. At Jubail Saudi Arabia, supervised repairs to a mixed fleet of mobile plant and two Concrete batching plants at this very large harbour development. Lectured on and taught SCUBA diving, carried out dives in the harbour.

1976 Depot Manager, Dukhan Oilfield, supervised the fabrication and installation of water pressure ring main pipelines on the Dukhan oilfield. Supervised the mechanical installation of an Olympus turbine generator in a power station. Sustained a major physical damage in an accident due to negligence on the part of the operators and was returned to the UK for treatment.
